1) Overview
Swipe to Clean Photos helps you quickly delete unwanted photos from your device’s local gallery by swiping. We prioritize privacy and aim to collect as little information as possible.
- No direct personal data collection: We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or contacts.
- Local photo handling: The app requests the necessary gallery/media permissions solely to allow you to delete photos on your device. Photos are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
- Limited analytics & diagnostics: We use third-party SDKs for app analytics, crash reporting, advertising, and subscriptions. These providers may collect device identifiers and event data as described below.
2) Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide to us
We do not collect information that directly identifies you (such as your name or email) within the app. If you contact us by email, we will receive your email address and any information you choose to include in that communication.
2.2 Automatically collected information (via third-party SDKs)
To operate and improve the app, we integrate the following services, which may automatically collect certain information as described in their respective policies:
- Google Play Services – platform services that may log basic diagnostics and app metadata.
- Firebase Analytics – anonymized/aggregated usage analytics (e.g., screen views, session counts, device and app version information, coarse location based on IP, and identifiers such as Instance ID or Advertising ID).
- Firebase Crashlytics – crash logs and diagnostics (e.g., device model, OS version, app state at crash time, and anonymized identifiers) to help us fix stability issues.
- AdMob (Google Mobile Ads) – delivers ads and may collect Advertising ID, coarse location, and contextual data to personalize or measure ads subject to your device settings and consent (where applicable).
- RevenueCat – processes in-app purchases/subscriptions and may collect purchase-related metadata (e.g., app user ID, subscription status, product identifiers, transaction receipts/tokens). We do not receive your full payment details.
We do not combine this data with other information to identify you personally.
We do not maintain our own servers to store your personal data. Data processed by the third-party SDKs listed above is handled under their terms and privacy policies.
3) How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve core app features (including deleting photos locally on your device).
- Monitor app performance, diagnose crashes, and fix bugs.
- Understand general usage patterns to improve user experience (e.g., which screens are most used).
- Show and measure advertisements, subject to your consent and platform settings.
- Manage in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Lawful bases (GDPR, where applicable)
- Legitimate interests: to ensure the app is reliable, performant, and secure, and to understand usage at an aggregate level.
- Consent: for personalized advertising or analytics where required by law. You can withdraw consent within device settings or via consent prompts (if provided in your region).
- Contractual necessity: to provide subscription features you request via in-app purchases.
5) Data Retention
We retain aggregated analytics and diagnostics data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Retention periods may also follow the defaults set by our third-party providers. Photos on your device are never uploaded and remain under your local control.
6) Your Choices & Controls
- Permissions: You can revoke gallery/media permissions in your device settings. The app may not function fully without these permissions.
- Advertising ID: You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings (e.g., Settings > Google > Ads on Android).
- Analytics/Crash reporting: Some platforms allow limiting analytics in device settings or via in-app prompts where provided.
- Subscriptions: Manage or cancel in-app subscriptions via your store account settings. RevenueCat stores purchase status to enable access.
- Data deletion requests: You may contact us to request deletion of data we can access (e.g., email correspondence). For data held by third parties, please consult their policies and in-app controls.
7) Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, and restriction of processing. To exercise rights regarding data we control, contact us at megoteknoloji@gmail.com. For data processed by our providers (e.g., AdMob, Firebase, RevenueCat), please refer to their privacy portals.
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are in California, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
8) Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9) Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information processed through the app. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we post updates, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
